Abstract
The objective of this research is to carry out a bibliometric analysis of the scientific production of the journal Cuba: Environment and Development in the period 2001-2020, based on the use of bibliometric indicators. For this, a cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out, where articles were analyzed by year, country, research topics, authors’ productivity, collaboration rate and affiliation. A total of 241 articles corresponding to research topics, application of results and education were analyzed. More than 500 authors have published their work in the journal, the most productive being Leslie Moleiro and the most productive institution being the Environment Agency. It was confirmed that there is a high rate of national collaboration, so the participation of international authors and institutions should be encouraged. In general, the journal is an efficient tool for scientific dissemination that promotes the socialization of knowledge about environmental education and the search for solutions to problems related to the preservation and sustainable use of the environment.
