Learning about disaster risk education from the natural sciences

Abstract

The objective of the work is to propose a system of activities that contributes to the learning of education in disasters risk, from the Natural Sciences in the eleventh grade students of the Los Palacios municipality. In obtaining the results, methods of the theoretical level, the empirical level and the statistical-mathematical level were used. The main achievements were knowledge, the formation of values ​​and attitudes, which allowed students to confront and prevent disasters in a responsible way, increasing the degree of awareness of their importance. The proposal was structured in twenty-one activities, where individual study spaces, extra-class activities, debate and reflection shifts, class systems of the subjects Elementary Military Instruction, Geography, Biology and Chemistry stand out, using word searches and other didactic materials. The effectiveness of the proposed system was verified through the data obtained in the final instruments applied, being an educational work tool.
