Abstract

Environmental education has become an important tool for developing an environmental culture in all members of society, which was achieved at international, national and local levels. The aim of this paper is to provide a description of the implementation process of environmental education in Santiago de Cuba Province, through formal and informal channels primarily and clarify the main difficulties. The analysis determined that the strengths for the development of this process are located primarily in educational institutions, with a great force in top-level investigations from which they draw guidelines for implementation in society, demonstrating a marked performance of the network of environmental education in our province.
