Abstract

This work can reduce by electrochemical methods the values of these parameters associated with the presence of pollutants in waste water of paper industry products: color, COD, pH, conductivity, hardness, suspended solids, Na +1 and SO4-2. To carry out the electrochemical study was structured design of experiments on two factors (applied voltage and residence time of the sample), selecting three voltage levels (2, 4, and 6) and 3 residence times (10, 15, and 20 minutes). The tests were conducted in the laboratory and on-line at the plant. The results showed that almost all parameters could be reduced with the use of electrochemical method.
