Results of the forestry inventory carried out in Bambusa vulgaris Schard var. vulgaris plantations belonging to the Macurije Comprehensive Forestry Enterprise, Guane Municipality, Pinar Del Río Province

Abstract
Bambusa vulgaris Schard var. vulgaris is one of the bamboo species highly distributed along the whole country, mainly on river banks in scion ways. This species stands out by being soil preserver, it is used in fishing and constructions. In the research conducted about the species at Macurije Comprehensive Forestry Enterprise, Pinar del Río a forestry inventory was included aimed at knowing about the existence of it and its situation, as well as promoting the establishment of new plantations. Data about the amount of scions, culms on the scions according to the vegetative status, height, diameter, and weight of the culm were obtained; it was also determined that in Guane municipality exist 34 hectares of Bambusa vulgaris Schard var. Vulgaris.
