Etnobotanic study of the cordia collococca (ateje) specimen

Abstract

The results of an investigation are exposed carried out in the period of 2013-2014 on the forest species Cordia Collococca (Ateje), distributed in the whole island of Cuba. The work is developed in different communities of the municipality and county of Pinegrove of the River, Montequín, 21/2 of the highway of Luís Knot, Lamb, Km 12 of the highway of it Fills it, with the objective of obtaining information etnobotánica of the species with the purpose of being able to introduce it in the CPA Celso Maragato in the property The Ceiba, providing the possibility to establish a plantation of the same one, analysis of a new habitat for the species, necessarily requiring the application of new socio-economic conditions and of handling systems in properties, as well as the assimilation of the obtained information of the applied empiric methods. The work promotes the knowledge and the taking of forest decisions for feeding of corral birds in situations of shortage , and pharmacological properties traditionally attributed by the population.
