The Environmental Training Network: The integrative role in Environmental Education

Abstract

The Cuban education aims to train citizens to participate actively in social changes, with a high level of responsibility, practical skills, human feelings and aesthetic and ethical values - moral, which involves forming a broad man with a universal culture. Environmental education as a process trainer recognizer values and skills and attitudes necessary to understand the relationships between man, culture and physical environment, play a vital role to meet the current environmental problems in terms of understanding the idea of a sustainable development to ensure the needs of present and future generations. To achieve these purposes the environmental training network in the territory has been the integrating link in the promotion of environmental education in different sectors of society Guantanamo. The main impacts are discussed in the work are mentioned among others: the unity of actions for the network integration, training as a key to the success of environmental education work, the implementation of environmental education curriculum strategies in the SUM and university to ensure the comprehensive training with a multidisciplinary approach, the direct linkage with the productive sector, the development of academic training that includes environmental education, relations with the association of teachers of Cuba, work in rural communities where the actions highlighted in watersheds with emphasis on the Toa basin.
